Why Is My Musician Not Playing as Expected?

Discover why your virtual musician might not be performing as expected and learn tips to optimize your playback for better results.

Written by Yahli Telem

If your virtual musician isn’t hitting the right notes, don’t worry—it happens sometimes! Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Playback Matters

Musicians often perform better with playback tracks that have a strong rhythmic section. If your playback lacks a clear beat or timing, it might confuse the model. Try uploading a track with a defined groove to help guide the musician.

2. Overlapping Instruments

If your project already contains the same instrument you’re trying to generate, it can sometimes make things tricky for the model. Consider muting or tweaking the existing instrument to give the virtual musician more room to shine.

3. It’s Beta, After All

Aiode Beta is still in development, so there’s still a lot of room for improvement. Some results might not be perfect, but we’re constantly working to make the musicians smarter and better! Stay tuned for updates.
