What is Generate Mode?
Generate Mode is a powerful tool that helps you fine-tune your music by allowing you to correct specific sections of a musician’s performance. If something sounds off—whether it’s out of tune, out of rhythm, or just not the vibe you want—you can mark that section for regeneration without affecting the rest of the track.
Why Use Generate Mode?
Precision Editing: Adjust only the parts you want to change instead of regenerating the entire track.
Fix Specific Issues: If a musician played something out of tune or off-tempo, quickly regenerate to correct it.
More Creative Control: Keep what you like, change what you don’t.
How to Use Generate Mode
1. Turning on Generate Mode
Click the Generate Mode Button (or press
Gon the keyboard) next to the Play and Stop controls.
2. Marking Sections to Regenerate
Ways to mark a section for regeneration:
Click on a region to mark the entire region for regeneration.
Drag over a region to mark only a specific part.
Dragging over an empty area will create a new region automatically.
After marking, adjust the start and end points by trimming the edges.
To remove a marked section, hold
Alton your keyboard and click the part you want to remove.
3. Understanding Visual Feedback
Red: Empty region, must be generated.
Purple: The section is flagged for regeneration.
Green: The audio is complete and hasn’t been marked for regeneration.
4. Regenerating the Marked Sections
Once you’ve selected the sections that need changes, click Generate to process new versions.
You can create up to 20 versions per region
5. Selecting the Best Take
If you didn't like the option, open the Takes Dropdown on any region to review all the different versions.
Listen to each and select the one that fits best.
